Staff from Enable Ability recently met with Alan Bryan (the 2021-22 Hayling Golf Club Men’s Captain), for a cheque presentation following his outstanding fundraising efforts throughout the past year.
From October 2021, Alan and the members of Hayling Golf Club have raised money for Enable Ability through various events including a joint charity gig, Captain’s Day (which was held on a glorious sunny July afternoon), an auction, and most recently a charity bike ride from Le Golf National in France, 242 miles back to Hayling Golf Club! Alan told us the 3-day cycle was quite a challenge- particularly the hills, but the £2765 raised for this event alone was worth it!
During what has been a difficult year again for so many, Alan and his members have still managed to raise an incredible £10,500 for Enable Ability! This money will go a long way to help the charity support the children and adults with disabilities who use our 15 specialist services, including our Youth Projects and Advocacy service which all rely on external funding.
