Virtual tours designed for people with learning disabilities or anxiety
Enable Ability has partnered with Solent NHS Trust to produce highly accessible virtual tours of the four major vaccination hubs across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. These tours are designed to reduce anxiety and provide a tool to support people with learning disabilities or anxiety. The tours were put together by the What’s It Like programme, which operates out of LCC.
Along with the virtual tours, a guide has been created using accessible language. This information is supported by Makaton sign language. Vaccination centre tours for Hamble House, St. James Hospital in Portsmouth and Oakley Road, Southampton along with supporting films and printable documents are currently available.
